PITTSFIELD- SIGNAL & INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS @ WEST STREET (STATE ROUTE 9) & CENTER STREET
This project will upgrade an existing traffic signal, and associated components, from a cam/ratchet driven mechanical system with pre-timed cycles to a fully actuated signal that can be optimized for traffic flow. This intersection was one of several recommended for improvement in the Berkshire MPO's Downtown Circulation Study for Pittsfield.
