Project Description:
HAWLEY- BRIDGE DECK PRESERVATION, H-13-007, WEST HAWELY ROAD (ROUTE 8A) OVER CHICKLEY RIVER
The work for the West Hawley Road bridge project shall consist of removal and replacement of the reinforced concrete deck; replacement and/or repairs to stringers, end diaphragms and floor beams; upgrade capacity of controlling truss members to meet statutory loads; repair deterioration and seal cracks in the substructure; strip and paint the structural steel; provide a crash worthy rail and transition and upgrade the approach guard rail. The work shall also include milling and paving the approaches, 100’-150’.
