Project Description:
HANOVER- BRIDGE REPLACEMENT, H-06-011, ROUTE 53 (WASHINGTON STREET) OVER ROUTE 3 INCLUDING SIGNAL & INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS AT NORTHBOUND RAMPS
The work for the Route 53 over Route 3 bridge shall consist of reconstructing the bridge and approach wearing surface; replacing the superstructure and substructure; replacing the approach slab; upgrading the bridge rail; upgrading the approach guard rail; changing the structure to a two continuous span bridge by providing a new center pier and two new pier type abutments in front of the existing abutments; placing MSE walls for grade separation; and repaving the existing slope pavement. The proposed structure will measure 120’-0” long from center-to-center of bearings.
