Project Description:
FALL RIVER- INTERCHANGE IMPROVEMENTS AT ROUTE I-195/ROUTE 79/ROUTE 138 INCLUDING BRAGA BRIDGE PHASE 2 CLEANING/PAINTING AND STRUCTURAL REPAIRS
Work on this project consists of reconfiguration of the Route I-195/Route 79/Route 138 interchange including all ramps and associated bridges. A primary objective of this project is to provide safety improvements and eliminate structurally deficient bridges. The existing bridge structures will be removed and replaced with new bridges and at-grade roadways. The project includes safety improvements by eliminating substandard weaving areas and providing positive control at intersections. Regional connectivity will be maintained while improving local access. Bicycle and pedestrian access will also be improved. In addition the Design-Build project will include the addition of Braga Bridge Phase 2 Cleaning/Painting and Structural Repairs
