RAYNHAM- TAUNTON- BRIDGE REPLACEMENT, R-02-012=T-01-049 (3MR), SR 24 OVER THE TAUNTON RIVER

This project consists of the bridge replacement of the bridge carrying Route 24 over the Taunton River. The proposed structure will be a single span structure supported on integral abutments. The span between the centerlines of abutments will be approximately 175 feet and be comprised of galvanized steel plate girders and a reinforced concrete deck. The proposed roadway width for each bound will consist of a 2 foot shoulder, three 12 foot lanes, a 12 foot acceleration of deceleration lanes, and a 4 foot shoulder. This cross section will be constructed using staged construction with a minimum of two lanes in each direction at all times. The minimum lane width during the construction will be 11 feet.
