Project Description:
SOUTHBRIDGE- BRIDGE DEMOLITION & ROAD RELOCATION, S-21-014, SR 169 (NORTH WOODSTOCK ROAD) OVER THE P&W RAILROAD (ABANDONED)
The purpose of this project is to improve the roadway and traffic conditions of North Woodstock Road by removing the existing bridge, approaches, and highway embankments, and lowering the roadway to its original grade before the bridge had been constructed. This will involve complete reconstruction of North Woodstock Road from where it intersects East Main Street to just south of the intersection between North Woodstock Road and Golf Street. The roadway reconstruction will include the excavation of North Woodstock Road to allow for a straighter alignment.
