Project Description:
SWANSEA- SUPERSTRUCTURE REPLACEMENT, S-35-018, I-195 (EB/WB) OVER THE COLE RIVER
The project involves both I-195 eastbound and westbound bridges over Cole River in Swansea. The work shall consist of the construction of new superstructures adjacent to the existing bridges on temporary bents and sliding them transversely into their final location. The new superstructures shall be built on temporary bents which shall extend under the existing bridge superstructure. The new superstructures will feature a span length of approximately 125 feet and shall consist of steel plate girders with a composite concrete deck.
