Project Description:
LITTLETON- BRIDGE BETTERMENT, L-13-026, ROUTE 2A (KING STREET) OVER I-495
The project to improve the Route 2A bridge over I-495 shall consist of reconstructing the bridge and approach wearing surface; removal and replacement of the reinforced concrete deck slab; upgrading the bridge rail; upgrading the approach guard rail; removal and replacement of the joints over the pier 2 & 4 with the Asphaltic joint and joint over pier 1 & 3 with link-slab; Check the existing beams cover plates for fatigue and provide modification as needed; repair the existing abutments backwall and breastwall, beams pedestals, deteriorated area of pier cap and spalled/delamination area on the columns; remove and reset the existing rip-raps where it has settled; Clean and paint the structural steel (Over coat) and localized (Full paint) as directed by the engineer.
