Project Description:
CUMMINGTON- RESURFACING & RELATED WORK ON ROUTE 9, FROM WINDSOR T.L. TO GOSHEN T.L.
The proposed pavement preservation measure for this project consists of micro-milling the roadway to an average depth of 2 inches; then sealing the milled surface with 1/2 inch asphalt chip seal, and resurfacing the roadway with 1-1/2 inches of hot mix asphalt. The following items may also be included as needed: milling and resurfacing side road approaches, full depth roadway repairs, adjusting granite curb, limited drainage structure repairs, replacing bit. conc. berm, placing dense graded crushed stone for shoulders, upgrading highway guard rail to current standards, placing new pavement markings and installing raised pavement markers. Installation of rumble strips in the roadway shoulders is also proposed.
