Project Description:
TAUNTON- INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS AT COUNTY STREET (ROUTE 140) AND HART STREET
Work on this project consists of traffic signal and geometric improvements at the intersection of County Street (Route 140) and Hart Street. This location experiences a high rate of thru versus left-turn crashes along County Street. The lane configuration and traffic signal system will be upgraded to accommodate the high volume of left-turns. The project also provides improvements for bicycle and pedestrian accommodations in compliance with MassDOT’s Complete Street Policy and the Americans for Disabilities Act. Drainage improvements, pavement markings and sign installation and incidental work associated with the project are included as well.
