PITTSFIELD- INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS & TRAFFIC SIGNAL INSTALLATION AT NORTH STREET @ LOWER WAHCONAH STREET

Proposed project will include new traffic signals, control equipment, associated geometric improvements and pavement markings for stop lines, auxiliary lanes, transitions and crosswalks; and regulatory signage. AAB compliant ramps will be installed at all crossing locations; and a new pedestrian crossing of North Street, south of the intersection, will be created. The relocation and improvement of an existing BRTA bus shelter on the northwest corner of intersection is also being considered as part of the project.
