Project Description:
SALISBURY- RAIL-TRAIL CONNECTOR CONSTRUCTION TO THE ROUTE 1 (GILLIS) BRIDGE
The project will create a safe pedestrian and bicycle crossing at the northerly terminus of the Route 1 bridge over the Merrimack River (Gillis Bridge) by constructing a trail adjacent to and under the Gillis Bridge and a sidewalk along Friedenfels Road. The path will connect the Salisbury Rail Trail and the Clipper City Trail in Newburyport.
