Project Description:
MIDDLEBOROUGH- NEMASKET RIVER STORMWATER POLLUTION MITIGATION
The purpose of this project is to mitigate pollution in at five locations along the Nemasket River. This includes four stormwater catchments – Mayflower Avenue, Pierce Playground, Spencer Street, and Rte 105/Sachem Street- where Best Management Practices (BMPs) will be installed to reduce the discharge of pollutants to the Nemasket River. The fifth location includes reconstruction of a concrete block retaining wall at the Nemasket River Fish Ladder, which is currently eroding and collapsing into the river.
