Project Description:
EASTHAMPTON- HOLYOKE- RESURFACING & RELATED WORK ON ROUTE 5, MM 16.014 IN HOLYOKE TO MM 20.427 IN EASTHAMPTON (4.43 MILES)
The purpose of this project is to resurface Route 5 in Easthampton and Holyoke. Work will consist of micromilling 2” from the existing paved surface and repaving with a 2” HMA surface course modified top with Latex modified binder. Work will also include repairing or replacing signs, guardrail ends, curb/edging, sidewalks and ramps as needed, sight distance clearing and new pavement markings. The project limits are as follows: Route 5 from MM 16.0 (beginning of state highway) to MM 20.5 (Oxbow bridge), for a project length of 4.5 miles.
