Project Description:
TAUNTON- RECONSTRUCTION OF ROUTE 44 (DEAN STREET), FROM ARLINGTON STREET TO ROUTE 104 (SOUTH MAIN STREET)
Work on this project consists of roadway improvements along Route 44 (Dean Street) just east of Arlington Street and continue easterly to just west of the intersection with Route 104. Also included will be intersection improvements and the replacement of the existing traffic signals at Longmeadow Road / Gordon Owen Parkway,reconstruction of sidewalks, and drainage improvements.

    Current Status: Eversource Gas Main Relocation and Service connections Dean St. and Longmeadow Rd on going. NIGHTS Drainage work for Northern Construction. Comcast to begin overhead tie over to new utility poles Scheduled work hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 PM to 5:30 AM. Expect periodic lane closures and restrictions. (as of 08/08/2025)
    Additional Info: Eversource Gas is installing gas main on Dean St. and services on Longmeadow Rd at night with a detour. Local Traffic only. (as of 08/08/2025)
