Project Description:
BROCKTON- SIGNAL & INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS @ ROUTE 123 (BELMONT STREET)/LINWOOD STREET/LORRAINE AVENUE
Work on this project includes improvements for safety, congestion and mobility for all users along the corridor. This is the second of three projects proposed on Route 123. Work includes traffic signal installation and safety improvements at Route 123 (Belmont Street) /Linwood Street/Lorraine Avenue, roadway reconstruction, and related work is proposed. Related work includes construction of a bus turn in lane at the intersection of Route 123 and Angus Beaton Drive (entrance to Brockton High School). Also, reconstruction of sidewalks both sides of Belmont Street is proposed. In addition, new crosswalks, widening of Belmont Street shoulders and improved intersection geometrics are proposed.
