Project Description:
PITTSFIELD- INTERSECTION & SIGNAL IMPROVEMENTS AT FIRST STREET & NORTH STREET (NEAR BERKSHIRE MEDICAL CENTER)
This project is recommended in the Berkshire region’s current RTP, and was conceptualized and analyzed in the MPO approved Pittsfield Downtown Circulation Study (Fuss & O’Neill - 2006). The project includes intersection widening and signalization improvements at First and Tyler St; the closure of North St between Tyler and Stoddard Ave; the realignment of Charles St with Springside Ave at North St; and intersection modifications (includes installing traffic signal) at Stoddard Ave/North St at Berkshire Medical Center’s main entrance.
