WAREHAM- CULVERT AND DAM REPLACEMENT ON CRANBERRY HIGHWAY AT ROUTE 28 AND ROUTE 6, MILL POND DAM OVER AGAWAM RIVER

The purpose of this project involves the construction of the bridge carrying U.S. Route 6 westbound and State Route 28 northbound, also known as Cranberry Highway, over Agawam River, construction of a new spillway, construction of a new fish ladder, reconstruction of the existing upstream fishway, and reconstruction of the embankments of Mill Pond Dam. The work includes the demolition of the existing primary and secondary spillways, existing fish ladder, storage shed, and removal trees and brush from the embankments of the dam and dike. The work shall include realignment and improvements to the roadway and sidewalk at the approach and across the proposed structure, including a buffered bicycle lane, stormwater treatment, and landscape enhancements.
