Project Description:
BARNSTABLE- INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS AT FALMOUTH ROAD (ROUTE 28) AND BEARSES WAY
Work on this project consists of new traffic signal systems at the Route 28/Bearses Way intersection and Route 28/Cape Cod Mall entrance intersection as well as corridor improvements between. The project will incorporate a 4 lane cross section with a raised median on Rte 28, the installation of shared use paths, sidewalks and bike lanes at the intersections and on Rte 28 between the intersections. Geometric improvements are proposed at the Rte 28/Bearses Way intersection and Rte 28/Cape Cod Mall intersection to improve safety and traffic flow.
