Project Description:
NORTHAMPTON– BRIDGE REPLACEMENT, N-19-059, I-91 OVER US ROUTE 5 AND B&MRR, BRIDGE REPLACEMENT, N-19-060, I-91 OVER HOCKANUM ROAD AND IMPROVEMENTS TO I-91/INTERCHANGE 18
The proposed project will include complete removing and replacing the existing bridge structures. The new superstructures shall accommodate two lanes of traffic in their respective directions. The new structures will not feature sidewalks. The bridge rails shall be type CF-PL3 modified with the Type II Protective Screens. Four highway guardrail transitions shall be located at the corners of each bridge. Approximately 100 feet of the existing approach roadways shall be milled and paved on both ends of the project and between the two bridges.
