Project Description:
CHARLEMONT- SAVOY- EMERGENCY REPAIR & RECONSTRUCTION OF RETAINING WALLS ALONG ROUTE 2 FROM MM 23.5 (F-05-005) TO MM 27.4 (C-05-024 RR BRIDGE)
This emergency repair contract consists of repair and reconstruction of damaged retaining walls along the Route 2 corridor. Existing concrete retaining walls will be stabilized by grouting and by providing armoring to prevent scour. Sections of new retaining wall will be built where the ends of existing walls are compromised or damaged from river alignment. Some roadway and drainage repairs, and other related work (e.g. curbing, guardrail, and traffic lines/signs) will be included as needed.
