The proposed project will construct a shared-use trail for pedestrians and bicycles within an abandoned MassDOT owned railroad layout along the scenic Quequechan River, extending from the existing trail at Brayton Avenue to Quequechan Street. The proposed trail will consist of a 10 foot wide paved surface with 2 to 3 foot soft surface shoulders. The project will include new and replacement bridges, intersection improvements, landscaping, and user amenities. This project is Phase II of a multi-phase bike route connecting the existing path at South Watuppa Pond to Britland Park.
