Project Description:
TAUNTON- RECONSTRUCTION ON COUNTY STREET (ROUTE 140), FROM THE ROUTE 24 (SB OFF-RAMP) NORTHERLY TO MOZZONE BOULEVARD
This project is proposed to address safety issues along County Street (Route 140) from the Route 24 SB off-ramp Northerly to Mozzone Boulevard. The existing roadway is striped as a two-lane bi-directional roadway that effectively operates as a four-lane cross section, thereby compromising safety for pedestrians, bicyclists and motorists. The intent of the project is to eliminate the bottleneck where the roadway narrows at the railroad tracks between the Route 24 SB off-ramp northerly to Mozzone Boulevard.
