CUMMINGTON- RETAINING WALL REPLACEMENT ON ROUTE 9 ADJACENT TO SWIFT RIVER

This project proposes to completely replace a metal bin type retaining wall that provides structural support for Route 9. The project begins approximately 1000 feet west of the Goshen town line. The existing retaining wall is 450 feet in length and varies in height from 17 to 22 feet. There is settlement in the roadway along the top of wall; the proposed project will include full-depth roadway reconstruction, as well as wall replacement.
