Project Description:
WORTHINGTON- RECONSTRUCTION & RELATED WORK ON ROUTE 143 (PHASE I) COLD STREET TO CHESTERFIELD TOWN LINE
The Town is seeking to mill and overlay the eastern 2.2 miles of Route 143 (Williamsburg Road) at its current width of 28 ft +/-. Proposed improvements for the remaining 5.3 miles of Route 143 (Old North Road) include reclamation and box widening to 26 feet to provide improved accommodation for all users, cutting back slopes to improve sight distance at several horizontal curves, selected drainage system improvements, guard rail, and new signs and pavement markings.
