Project Description:
DISTRICT 5- DISTRICT 6- ITS CONSTRUCTION ON ROUTE 3, FROM BRAINTREE TO PLYMOUTH
The work under this contract consists of installing twenty six (26) Closed Circuit Television Cameras (CCTV) and seven (7) Variable Message Signs (VMS) along Route 3 South in Southeastern Massachusetts. It encompasses approximately 40 miles of the corridor from Exit 19 in Braintree to Exit 2 in Plymouth. All field devices will communicate to the MassDOT Highway Operations Center (HOC) located in South Boston through cellular modems and will be integrated into the existing software platforms at the HOC.
