Project Description:
HAVERHILL- PEABODY- BRIDGE STEEL PAINTING AND REPAIRS OF SUBSTRUCTURE ELEMENTS, H-12-057 (2RR & 2RT) & P-03-037 (31T)
Haverhill - Structural steel beams and steel diaphragms of these two bridges require painting to enhance the life of the structure. Extensive repairs were done to steel beams and the concrete deck was removed and replaced by a new concrete deck. FHWA during District 4 inspection pointed out that these bridges should be painted to increase the useful life of these structures. Peabody - Heavy scaling on steel beams has become a safety issue as big chunks of scaling have fallen down on the moving traffic. We must paint this bridge over I-95 to make the travelling people safe and to increase the life of the structure.
