CHICOPEE- SOUTH HADLEY- SIGNAL & INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS AT 13 INTERSECTIONS ALONG ROUTE 33 (MEMORIAL DRIVE), FROM FULLER ROAD TO ABBEY STREET

This project is a safety improvement project that will upgrade the existing signal equipment at several high crash locations along route 33 and will improve traffic signal timing and phasing and allow for better traffic flow. Other improvements will include new pavement markings, signage and improved pedestrian access. Intersections include Route 33 at Fuller Road, Shop Rite Shopping Center, Mass Turnpike, Chicopee Marketplace North Drive, Westover Rd/Granby Rd, Pendleton Avenue, Irene St/Jamrog Dr, Streiber Drive, Fairview Shopping Ctr, James Street, Britton Street, New Ludlow Street and Abbey Street.
