AMESBURY- SALISBURY- TRAIL CONNECTOR @ I-95

The proposed trail would follow the railroad bed west from Rabbit Road for 1,300 feet and would pass under three I-95 bridges. The second section between the railroad bed and Old Elm Street includes 800 feet of trail on MassDOT property abutting the I-95 SB on-ramp. The third trail section is Old Elm Street in Amesbury which is a dead end roadway and a trail head will be developed. The project would also include a widened sidewalk along the west side of Rabbit Road to make a section of shared use path from the trail crossing to Route 110. The final part is the stairs from the Whittier Bridge Shared Use Path to Main Street/Evans Place and the Amesbury Visitors Center.
