WHITMAN- TRAFFIC SIGNAL IMPROVEMENTS & RELATED WORK ON BEDFORD STREET (ROUTE 18) AT 2 LOCATIONS: AUBURN STREET (ROUTE 14) & TEMPLE STREET (ROUTE 27)

This project is intended to address safety issues, particularly high crash rates, due to the lack of protected left turn phasing on the EB and WB approaches to Route 18. Geometric improvements are required at each intersection. In addition, there is a need to upgrade crosswalks, replace worn signage and add new pavement markings.
