Project Description:
BOSTON- REHABILITATION OF LOW POINT PUMP STATIONS & INSTALLATION OF NEW PLENUM PUMPS IN VARIOUS CA/T TUNNELS (CRC 16)
Scope for this project includes the investigation, design, bidding, and construction of two pumping systems within the limits of the CA/T Project due to various deficiencies. (A) Pumps at LP07, LP08, and LPVB1 need to be replaced with pumps that can handle solids (i.e. a 3 inch solid). (B) Install pumps in roadway plenums to effectively remove water from the roadway plenums. Approximately 13 plenum low point locations currently fill with water. This will also include installation of a permanent power supply and, where necessary, the installation of adequate access to maintain the pump system.
