Project Description:
RUSSELL- REHABILITATION OF TRUCK ESCAPE RAMP (EB) ON I-90 AT MM 35.8
This project will rehabilitate the truck escape ramp at MM 35.8 to restore it to full functionality. The escape ramp was originally constructed in the early 1990's. Over time, accumulation of silt in the lower portion of the stone bed has been binding the stone together and limiting the ramp's ability to absorb energy and provide deceleration for trucks during emergency stops. This project would restore resiliency of the stone bed, and make other improvements/upgrades as needed to comply with current standards.
