TISBURY- IMPROVEMENTS ON STATE ROAD AT TASHMOO OVERLOOK

The project proposes to improve multi-modal access and safety within the Overlook Area. Proposed improvements include increasing the width of the median island between State Road and the Overlook along with some minor alignment improvements along State Road, restriping of the roadway, providing bike accommodations in directions, providing sidewalks and pedestrian areas within the overlook, creating pedestrian access from the Overlook to other attractions in the immediate area and enhancing roadway signage. Sidewalks would be provided with ADA compliant ramps. The project is also intended to upgrade the appearance of the Overlook through streetscape treatments and plantings.
