NORTHAMPTON- RECONSTRUCTION OF DAMON ROAD, FROM ROUTE 9 TO ROUTE 5, INCLUDES DRAINAGE SYSTEM REPAIRS & SLOPE STABILIZATION AT THE NORWOTTUCK RAIL TRAIL

The project consists of safety and transportation improvements along 1.1 miles of Damon Road, between Route 9 and Routes 5 &10 intersections in Northampton. The proposed drainage repairs consist of removing old headwalls, pipes and manholes, excavation of debris, construction of new drainage swale, and restoration of eroded bank west of Norwottuck Rail Trail in the area; and stabilization of the Connecticut River southern bank at the Trail bridge location.
