TRURO- WELLFLEET- BICYCLE ACCOMMODATION IMPROVEMENTS ON ROUTE 6

Work on this project consists of installing pavement markings and signs for bicycle lanes along Route 6 in the Towns of Truro and Wellfleet. This is the first phase of improvements on Route 6. The project begins on Route 6 at the Route 6/Lawrence Road/School Street intersection in Wellfleet and extends to the Route 6/South Highland Road in Truro. In addition, sharrows and signs will be installed on South Highland Road in Truro, providing an alternate route for less experienced riders until a future phase of bicycle lanes are installed on Route 6 to Shore Road. The project also includes material to repair eroded shoulders as needed.
