Project Description:
WEST SPRINGFIELD- RECONSTRUCTION OF MEMORIAL AVENUE (ROUTE 147), FROM COLONY ROAD TO THE MEMORIAL AVENUE ROTARY (1.4 MILES)
The proposed Complete Streets roadway design will consist of milling and overlaying the existing roadway surface. The current concept consists of a road diet from a four lane traveled way to a two lane traveled way with a center two-way left turn lane. Other considerations are bike lanes, sidewalk reconstruction, updated signals, redesigned pedestrian crossings, and updated ADA accommodations.
