Project Description: |
ASHLAND- REHABILITATION AND RAIL CROSSING IMPROVEMENTS ON CHERRY STREET
The proposed improvements consist of roadway and pedestrian improvements as a supplemental safety measure to facilitate the implementation of a Railroad Quiet Zone in the town center. Improvements consist of rehabilitation of 750 ft. of Cherry Street and spot improvements on Main Street at the MBTA crossing. The Cherry Street reconstruction will consist of widening Cherry Street to provide a non traversable median in both sides of the railroad crossing. In addition, a sidewalk will be added to this section of roadway, connecting existing sidewalks on either side of the project.
