BOSTON- TUNNEL AND DRAIN LINE REPAIRS ON I-90 (EB & WB) (CRC 11B)
Work consists of multiple phases of construction which will repair/ reline the 42-inch drain line, construct a circular access shaft, complete lateral soil investigations under the I-90 tunnels and perform grouting as needed. This area has experienced considerable settlement since completion of I-90 EB/WB jacked tunnels in 2000 due to thawing of soil in the vicinity of the deep ground freezing zone.
