Project Description:
SOUTH HADLEY- RESURFACING AND RELATED WORK ON ROUTE 116
Work will consist of resurfacing on Route 116 beginning at Ranger Street and extending 1.1 miles northerly to the intersection with Kendrick Street. The improvements to be made are as summarized: Mill and overlay the existing roadway with 12 foot travel lanes and 8 foot buffered bike lanes both sides of the road where feasible; Evaluate the condition of existing sidewalks and wheelchair ramps and replace as required by condition or conformity with ADA requirements; Traffic signal replacement at the intersection with Lyman Street (Route 33) and new sign and pavement markings to accommodate the new construction.
