Project Description: |
WESTFIELD- RESURFACING AND RELATED WORK ON ROUTE 10 AND 202
This project is located on Routes 10 & 202 in the City of Westfield. It begins at the pavement joint near Sgt. Thomas Dion Way and extends north approximately 2.75 miles to the pavement joint just north of North Road. The purpose of the project is to improve the roadway condition by milling and resurfacing. This project is considered a 3R project, and the existing horizontal and vertical roadway geometry will be retained. This project is intended to meet the requirements under the Health Transportation Policy. In areas where the project does not meet the policy the designer needs to investigate the need for widening, and determine if it will be feasible to meet the requirements or justify an exemption through the Design Exemption Review process. Traffic signal reconstruction at the Summit Lock Road and North Road intersections will also be included as part of this project.
