Project Description:
NEW BEDFORD- INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS AND RELATED WORK AT ROCKDALE AVENUE AND ALLEN STREET
Work on this project includes minor geometric improvements, traffic signal reconstruction, pedestrian and bicycle accommodation upgrades in compliance with MassDOT’s Healthy Transportation Policy and the Americans with Disabilities Act. The intent of this project is to provide safety and mobility improvements at the intersection of Rockdale Avenue and Allen Street.

    Current Status: The contractor completed surface course paving project wide on Friday 6/7 /24. Loam and seed along with tree planting installation completed on Friday 6/21 /24. Permanent signage installation is currently ongoing with pavement marking installation tentatively scheduled for 7/2/24. 181 Normal work hours are Monday thru Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Expect periodic lane closures and restrictions. (as of 06/25/2024)
