Project Description:
LENOX- SUPERSTRUCTURE REPLACEMENT, L-07-006, ROARING BROOK ROAD OVER ROARING BROOK
This municipally owned, structurally deficient, two-lane bridge consists of single span steel beams and concrete deck. It was originally constructed in 1939. It has a curb-to-curb width of 24 ft and a span of 32.8 ft. The bridge is currently posted at 18/23/35 tons. Traffic volume data from 2007 indicates an average daily traffic of 100 vehicles per day. If the current bridge were to be closed, current NBI data indicates a 6 mile, un-maintained detour would be the alternate route. The proposed project consists of complete bridge replacement.
