SAVOY- BRIDGE SUPERSTRUCTURE REPLACEMENT, S-06-003, CENTER ROAD OVER CENTER BROOK

This municipally owned, structurally deficient, two-lane bridge consists of single span steel beams with concrete deck. It was originally constructed in 1938. The bridge has a curb-to-curb width of 20 ft and a span of 26.9 ft. The bridge is currently reduced in width and posted with a weight restriction. Traffic volume data from 2007 indicates an average daily traffic of 300 vehicles per day. If the current bridge were to be closed, current NBI data indicates a 1.8 mile detour would be the alternate route. The proposed project consists of complete bridge replacement.
