BOSTON- SIDEWALK, WHEELCHAIR RAMP & CROSSWALKS REPAIRS AT VARIOUS CA/T LOCATIONS (CRC 25) CONTRACT 3

Scope for this project includes investigation, inventory of deficiencies, design, bidding, construction, and administration to repair defective sidewalks, crosswalks, and pedestrian ramps previously constructed under the CA/T Project. The implementation of these repairs will require careful coordination with MassDOT and the City of Boston (and other consultants as needed), as the scope requires the ultimate step to include turnover of these assets to the City of Boston. In addition, the scope includes careful coordination with MassDOT's ongoing project 607020 "ADA Improvements and Upgrades to Various Locations". The great majority of these elements – the downtown section - were included in the C17A6 contract, which was the last major construction contract. In addition there were sidewalk sections installed in the South Bay Area (C09C2), South Boston (C01A6), and East Boston. It should be noted that the turnover of the East Boston sidewalks, since they were to be owned by Massport and not the City of Boston, followed a separate process.
