LANCASTER- INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS ON ROUTE 117/ROUTE 70 AT LUNENBURG ROAD AND ROUTE 117/ROUTE 70 AT MAIN STREET

The proposed project will involve the installation of traffic signals and geometric improvements to the intersections of Route 117/Route 70 N (Lunenburg Road) and Route 117/Route 70 S (Main Street). In addition, approximately 0.23 miles of Route 117 between the two intersections will be part of the project. Regarding secondary assets, improvements are expected to be made to sidewalks, accessible ramps, pavement markings, signage and curbing within the project area. Incorporation of bike lanes in the project area will also provide safer and clearer routes for users.
