Project Description:
SPENCER- RESURFACING AND RELATED WORK ON ROUTE 9
The project consists of resurfacing and related work on approximately 1.00 mile of Route 9 from just east of the Route 49 intersection to just west of the Water Street/Sumner Street intersection in the town of Spencer, Massachusetts. A combination of full depth pavement reconstruction with pavement mill and overlay is proposed. The work includes traffic signal reconstruction, pavement milling and overlay, full depth pavement reconstruction, roadway widening, sidewalk and shared use path construction, drainage structure and pipe installation, hydrant relocation, guardrail installation, traffic signing and pavement markings, proposed water main, improvements to the bridge over Seven Mile River, emergency pre-emption traffic control signal at the Spencer Fire and Police Departments, and other street improvements.
