WESTON- INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS BOSTON POST ROAD (ROUTE 20) AT WELLESLEY STREET

The proposed project consists of the installation of a new traffic signal system at intersection of Route 20 at Boston Post Road and Wellesley Street in Weston, MA. The work includes geometric revisions to the intersection to reduce driver confusion; installation of buffered bicycle lanes; sidewalk econstruction; new crosswalks; pavement mill / overlay; drainage modifications; and pavement markings/signage. The proposed project consists of two corridors: Route 20 and Boston Post Road / Wellesley Street. The Route 20 project limits start approximately 500 feet west and ends approximately 550 feet east of the intersection with Boston Post Road and Wellesley Street. For Boston Post Road and Wellesley Street project limits start approximately 300 feet north on Boston Post Road and ends approximately 350 feet south on Wellesley Street of the intersection with Route 20. The proposed project also includes full depth reconstruction for approximately 250 feet of private way called “Winsor Way” located east of Wellesley Street. Additional work includes unclassified excavation, full depth hot mix asphalt pavement, hot mix asphalt sidewalks, hot mix asphalt driveways, granite curb, highway guard, balanced stone wall, fence, landscaping and other incidental work.
