Project Description:
WELLFLEET- CAPE COD RAIL TRAIL EXTENSION
The project will expand the fully accessible, developed extent of the Cape Cod Rail Trail northward for approximately 2 miles toward Wellfleet center with a connecting path to DCR’s new Paine Campground. This will provide a multi-modal, off-road, bicycle and pedestrian connection from the existing 24-mile Cape Cod Rail Trail to Wellfleet. The proposed cross-section will mimic the existing CCRT. This project include one at-grade road crossing at Old Kings Highway. The project will also include a new parking and trailhead area at Route 6 in Wellfleet.
