GARDNER- BIKE PATH BRIDGE CONSTRUCTION, NORTH CENTRAL PATHWAY OVER ROUTE 140

The project involves construction of a bike path bridge over Route 140. The new bridge is along a modified alignment of the North Central Pathway. The new bridge will provide a grade separated crossing, linking the existing bike path to a section of bike path to be built on a utility easement by the City. When this segment is completed it will provide full connection between downtown Gardner and the center of Westminster. It will provide off-road access to the Crystal Lake recreation area, Henry Heywood Memorial Hospital, the District Court, the Gardner Middle and High Schools and Mount Wachusett Community College.
