NEW BEDFORD- INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS ON ACUSHNET AVENUE AT PECKHAM ROAD/SASSAQUIN AVENUE
Proposed improvements at the intersection are anticipated to include ADA compliant curb ramps, box widening along Peckham Road, mill/overlay along all four approaches, traffic signal installation, new pavement markings and signs.

| Current Status: | • The crew completed tree pit installation on 3/28/25. • Mast Arm installation was finished on 4/2/25. The traffic light system was turned on flashing on 4/3/25. It was fully turned on 6/6/25. • Granite curb installation was completed on 4/16/25. • Permanent patch placement was concluded on 4/30/25. • Cement concrete sidewalks and driveways were finished on 5/7/25. • Pavement milling was completed on 5/9/25. • Loam, seed and tree planting were completed on 5/15/25. • Adjusting drainage covers was finished on 5/19/25. • Surface course paving was done on 5/27/25. • Line striping was completed on 6/5/25. . Normal work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. (as of 06/11/2025) |
